Today I had yet another paralyzing migraine. Unlike my other terrible migraines, this one hit me early in the day. I knew by the end of second block that there was no way in hell I could be able to sit through the rest of the school day being in the amount of pain I was in so I signed out, went to the doctor’s, dropped off my prescriptions, and went home.

What disappoints/upsets me the most about today and my stupid migraines is that I planned on driving back to school to lift weights with Zube and Jabari. When I got home around noon, I went straight to my bed and fell asleep, hoping that my migraine would be gone when I woke up. By the time I woke up again, it was 3:30 and my migraine was still going strong. I knew that my friends had already started lifting and that I was in no shape to drive back to school to meet them. So I waited for my mom to bring my medicine home, along with a slushie, and ended up going back to sleep, not waking up until around 7:30.

I just hate the feeling of knowing that I haven’t completed a single day of my Centre Football summer training. I know it’s the first week and I have until August to get in shape, but I don’t enjoy being behind. Today sucked.

I’m suffering from Writer’s Block tonight, which sucks because I basically have a post dancing around in my head. Maybe trying to write after a busy day was a bad idea.

I’m going to try my hardest not to let this go to waste. Hopefully it’ll be easier to write tomorrow. Goodnight, Tumblr.

Assortment of Random Things

  • I can’t believe I actually got Bo to wear his chicken suit at the Yearbook Distribution Party.
  • The Reds lost. For once, the bullpen turned in a shitty performance.
  • Aroldis Chapman gave up his first run of the season. I guess he’s human after all.
  • My fantasy team is finally starting to play well. If I can hold my lead on Jabari through the weekend, I’ll be on my first winning streak of the season.
  • I don’t have to work this weekend. Since I got into the job program I interviewed for, my time at The Kitchen is over.
  • I have mixed feelings about this new job I’ll be getting. It’s 30 hours a week (5 days a week/6 hours a day). While it’ll be nice to earn significantly more money than I made at The Kitchen, I’m worried that I’ll end up regretting my choice once I’m a few weeks into the seven-week job. It’s not like I’ll be doing anything better with my day during the hours I’ll be working, but this is kinda my last summer as a kid and I’d like to have some time dedicated to do whatever I want. I should still be able to fit in hanging out with my friends after work and on the weekends, but it just won’t be the same as summers in the past where ever day was a weekend.
  • Maybe I can talk to my parents about the job thing. I know they want me working a lot this summer, but having what is basically a regular job during the last summer before I go away to college is too much.
  • My mom just brought me home a Mountain Dew slushie. I get annoyed with my parents quite frequently, but they’re the best.
  • I’m not looking forward to the graduation process, mainly the graduation party. I can already tell that I’m not going to enjoy being around my family because they’re all going to be somewhat emotional. I won’t get emotional, at least I think I won’t, but I just don’t want to have to deal with all the emotions surrounding graduation. At least having a party means getting graduation gifts.
  • The Reds already played today. With no homework, my night is completely empty. Maybe I’ll watch a movie or start brushing up on my FIFA skills. It’s been far too long, and I need to get prepared for a summer of FIFA Challenges.
  • Being in the job program means I have to be committed to working seven straight weeks, which runs into our planned family vacation. Seeing as how I’ve already been to the beach this year and going with my family will never live up to going with nine of my best friends, I could care less. At this point, I’d rather my summer be filled with at least five trips to Great American Ballpark, a trip to Wrigley, and countless trips to the lake.
  • My Centre Football summer lifting program starts on Monday. Somehow, someway, I have to fit it in my summer schedule.
  • The pizza’s here. I’m done.

Tonight made me realize just how much I’ll miss Yearbook.

Joining the staff is hands down the best decision I made this year. You guys are the best.

How can you not be romantic about baseball?

I’ll admit that people can take sports way too seriously, but, after being emotionally invested in the Reds for as long as I’ve been able to comprehend baseball, it’s like this team has become a part of me.

A win always makes everything okay. It makes life better. It makes my day and gives me hope for tomorrow.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

WALKOFF GRANDSLAM!!!!!! AND THIS ONE BELONGS TO THE REDS!!!!!

Fuck yes. I love you, Joey Votto.
